Shaq wants son to play at Kentucky

Bob Donnan / USA TODAY Sports

Shareef O'Neal is still two years away from graduating high school, but the 6-foot-8 power forward has already picked up several scholarship offers, including one from his dad's alma mater, LSU.

While Shareef has narrowed his decision down to three schools, Shaq has only one on his list - and it isn't LSU.

"My dad actually wants me to lean towards Kentucky," Shareef told Sean Scherer of 247Sports. "He has a good friendship with the coach there. I know a lot about that school because a lot of kids dream about going there. I like their style of play."

Shareef still has plenty of time to decide. In the meantime, he'll be busy spending his summer training with his dad's former teammate, Kobe Bryant.
