Providence will be without sophomore Drew Edwards for four-to-six weeks, as the guard is set to have knee surgery, according to Kevin McNamara of the Providence Journal.

In 32 games played for the Friars last season, Edwards averaged 10.7 minutes per game as a freshman to go along with 2.5 points per game and 1.6 rebounds per game. Edwards saw limited playing time behind fellow guards Kris Dunn and Jake Lindsey.

Edwards' biggest performance of this past season came in a game against Bryant in which he recorded 17 points, five steals, three assists, and two rebounds on Dec. 12, 2015.
