Report: San Diego nets Portland State transfer Isaiah Pineiro

Portland State transfer Isaiah Pineiro is headed to San Diego, a source told Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
The 6-foot-6 sophomore is coming off a standout campaign with the Vikings, in which he averaged 12 points and 5.5 rebounds. He previously played a year at Sierra Junior College, where he put up 15.4 points and 7.4 boards as a freshman.
Pineiro will have to sit out the 2016-17 season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules, but will have two seasons of eligibility remaining after that.
