Ex-Michigan State forward Bess heading to Akron

Akron made a splash on the transfer market Sunday, scoring former Michigan State forward Javon Bess, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Bess announced his intentions to leave the Spartans in March, after playing sparingly in 2015-16. He averaged just three points per game in roughly 11 minutes per contest.
The sophomore will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Zips.
