Villanova guard Phil Booth will miss the next six-to-eight weeks after he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Wednesday afternoon, the team announced Thursday.

Booth is coming off a sophomore season in which he helped Villanova capture its first national championship since 1985. In the title game, Booth came off the bench to score a season-high 20 points, which led the Wildcats.

For the season, the Baltimore native averaged seven points per game while logging 21.9 minutes. He appeared in all 40 games for the champs.
