Report: Dartmouth hires Northeastern's Dave McLaughlin as head coach

Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

Dartmouth is expected to name Northeastern assistant Dave McLaughlin as its new head coach, sources told ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

The school fired coach Paul Cormier after he compiled a 48-104 record in six years with the Big Green. The Ivy League program never finished above .500 during his tenure.

McLaughlin has been with the Huskies since 2013, serving as associate head coach on Bill Coen's staff. He has head coaching experience at the Division II level, fronting the Stonehill program for nine years before making the leap to Northeastern.
