Report: Nicholls State expected to name Clemson's Richie Riley head coach

@NichollsState

Nicholls State is expected to name Clemson assistant Richie Riley its new head coach, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.

Riley has spent the past two seasons as an assistant with the Tigers, and worked two years on the UAB staff prior to that.

The Colonels won only 11 games in 2015-16 before J.P. Piper was relieved of his duties late last month, so Riley will have some work to do to get Nicholls State back on track.
