Report: Michigan State transfer Marvin Clark commits to St. John's

Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

Michigan State transfer Marvin Clark is taking his talents to the Big East, as the sophomore forward committed to St. John's on Tuesday, sources told Jeff Borzello of ESPN.

Clark averaged 3.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in limited minutes with the Spartans this past season and chose St. John's after visiting the campus last weekend.

As per NCAA transfer regulations, Clark will be forced to sit out the 2016-17 season. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Clark's addition may just be the beginning of player movement from coach Chris Mullin, as the Red Storm are also targeting Arizona transfer Justin Simon and Arkansas State graduate transfer Anthony Livingston.
