Report: San Francisco's Devin Watson to transfer

Kyle Terada / USA TODAY Sports

After an impressive sophomore season, Devin Watson is moving on from San Francisco. He will transfer out of the program, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Watson averaged 20.3 points per game last season and was named first-team All-WCC.

The Dons are in a coaching transition, so perhaps that had something to do with the decision. San Francisco fired Rex Walters and hired Columbia's Kyle Smith.

Watson will have two years of eligibility remaining and will have to sit out next season because of the transfer.
