Kansas will have the services of Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk next season.

The sophomore guard announced Tuesday he will return to the Jayhawks for his junior campaign, rather than test his stock in the NBA draft.

Mykhailiuk, a native of Cherkasy, Ukraine, doesn't turn 19 until June 10. He played in a limited role in his first two collegiate seasons, but will likely see a greater workload in 2016-17.

Despite averaging only 5.4 points per game, the talented 6-foot-8 guard would have been an intriguing NBA draft prospect, given his size and athletic prowess. He figures to be part of a backcourt rotation next year that should include Frank Mason III, Devonte' Graham, and five-star recruit Josh Jackson.

The European was once billed as the Ukrainian LeBron James, similar to how Toronto Raptors forward Bruno Caboclo was touted as the Brazilian Kevin Durant.
