NCAA Game Summary - Toledo at Oregon

Eugene, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Joseph Young netted 24 points and made a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line as his Oregon Ducks edged past the Toledo Rockets, 78-68, in a non-conference tilt at Matthew Knight Arena.

Elgin Cook pitched in with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds for Oregon (3-0), and Dwayne Benjamin did the same, netting 11 points with 12 boards. Dillon Brooks chipped in with 10 points and five assists in the win.

Julius Brown scored 19 points to lead Toledo (1-2). J.D. Weatherspoon contributed 14 points and eight rebounds, and Jonathan Williams added 13 points. Justin Drummond rounded out the Toledo double-digit scorers with 11 points in the defeat.

Oregon made just 36.4 percent of its field goal tries in the first half, and took a slim 36-34 advantage into halftime. Toledo shot 41.9 percent from the floor, and made 7-of-12 from 3-point range.

The Ducks increased their shooting accuracy to 46.7 percent in the second frame, and also hit 13-of-17 from the free-throw line. The Rockets let their shooting slip to 34.3 percent, and fell behind by an additional eight points.

Oregon made 20 free throws in the contest compared to seven for Toledo (13 total attempts). The Ducks also had a 36-24 edge in points in the paint.
