NCAA Game Summary - Bowling Green at Western Michigan

Kalamazoo, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Anthony Henderson scored 27 points, shooting 7-of-10 behind the 3-point line, as the Falcons of Bowling Green held on to defeat the Western Michigan Broncos, 69-64, in Mid-American Conference action at University Arena.

Henderson, who shot 10-of-16 from the floor overall, also registered four steals for the Falcons (8-9, 2-2 MAC) as they won for the second time in as many games. Also scoring in double figures for the visitors were Spencer Parker with 13 points, Jehvon Clarke 12 and Richaun Holmes 10 points, the latter hitting a couple of key free throws down the stretch.

The Broncos (9-7, 2-2) were led by David Brown who dropped in 21 points, followed by Shayne Whittington with 18 points, eight rebounds and four blocks. Connar Tava filled in his stat line with seven points, 11 rebounds, six assists and a couple of steals in the team's second consecutive setback.

BGSU shot a mere 9-of-27 (.333) from the floor in the first half, leaving the visitors with a 39-27 deficit at the break.

Western Michigan led by as many as 15 early in the second half, but the squad was held to only seven field goals in the period and shot 1-of-7 behind the 3- point line. A 3-pointer by Clarke at the 1:33 mark moved BGSU from a two-point deficit to a one-point advantage at 65-64 and after that WMU never recovered.

The Broncos turned the ball over 18 times on the day and also allowed the Falcons to knock down an impressive 10-of-18 beyond the arc.
