Las Cruces, NM (Sports Network) - Wendell McKines finished with a double- double of 25 points and 12 rebounds to power the New Mexico State Aggies past the Drake Bulldogs, 71-55, as part of the BracketBusters event at the Pan American Center.

Hernst Laroche added 17 points in the win for New Mexico State (20-8), which also got 10 points from Daniel Mullings.

Rayvonte Rice scored 18 points to pace Drake (15-13), while Aaron Hawley tallied 14 points.

The Bulldogs shot just 35.7 percent from the field during the first period of play, helping the Aggies to a commanding 40-26 halftime advantage.

The Aggies then converted 50.0 percent of their chances from the floor during the second stanza to roll to a 16-point victory.

The Aggies won the battle of the boards by a 41-31 margin.
