The plot thickens.
Legendary New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur told Pierre LeBrun he was ready to leave the organization he has been with for over 20 years. LeBrun reported the news on Insider Trading Friday afternoon.
Spoke to Marty Brodeur today and he said that mentally he is ready to leave New Jersey, he hasn't totally closed the door on the Devils, he says 'I'll be a Devil for life' but that he will go to July first and see if there's a bid. He's ready to play one more year and he's ready to play in another uniform.
After a touch-and-go trade deadline, it looks as though Brodeur will be signing with a new team this summer in his 22nd NHL season.
