The Denver Nuggets have been keeping an eye on what power forward Kenneth Faried has been doing at the FIBA World Cup with Team USA. Assistant general manager Arturas Karnisovas wrote about his observations on NBA.com.
As well as being impressed by Faried's play in Spain, Karnisovas (Team USA and Nuggets assistant general manager) explained he's not at all surprised.
"His World Cup success comes as no surprise to me and anyone who’s around Kenneth on a regular basis."
Faried is averaging 14 points and seven rebounds per game, boasting similar totals last season with the Nuggets.
"He has been great on the offensive glass, giving us second chance opportunities, running the floor and defending," Karnisovas said. "I expect him to continue to do the same as the tournament continues."
