Canadian phenom Wiggins to be draft eligible in 2014

The most hyped young basketball prospect Canada has ever produced is going to be NBA eligible earlier than previously expected, with Thornhill, Ontario's Andrew Wiggins reclassifying on Thursday to be NCAA eligible in 2013, and therefore NBA Draft eligible in 2014.

Wiggins, widely regarded as the best basketball prospect anywhere, was previously on track to be Draft eligible in 2015 before Thursday's decision to reclassify.

The news means that Wiggins will likely join fellow highly touted prospects Jabari Parker and Julius Randle in the 2014 NBA Draft.

The 6'7", 205-pound 17-year-old has yet to pick an NCAA school, but is being recruited by the biggest programs, including defending national champions Kentucky, as well as North Carolina, Florida State, Kansas and Ohio State.
