Jordan Hamilton is expected to remain with the Pelicans for the rest of the season, John Reid of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Hamilton will sign a contract Monday to remain with the Pelicans for the rest of the season, John Reid of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Analysis:

Hamilton first joined the Pelicans on March 25 and quickly established himself as a rotation option on an injury-decimated roster. He's scored double-digit points in four of his five games with the team and has started the last three contests at shooting guard. The Pelicans will keep him around for the final six games of the campaign as they careen toward the draft lottery, giving Hamilton an opportunity to showcase himself for a roster spot in 2016-17.
