Paul Pierce (knee) did not travel with the Clippers for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves, Rowan Cavner of Clippers.com reports.

Pierce (knee) isn't traveling with the Clippers and will miss Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves and Thursday's game against the Thunder, Rowan Kavner of Clippers.com reports.

Analysis:

Pierce sprained his ankle and bruised his knee in Monday's game against the Celtics, but the veteran isn't expected to be sidelined for more than a handful of games. He'll miss at least the next two, however, making Sunday's game against the Wizards his earliest return date. The Clippers then play a home-and-home series with the Lakers on Tuesday and Wednesday. Look for Jeff Green and Wesley Johnson to pick up extra playing time for the duration of Pierce's absence.
