The Washington Wizards will be forced to try to keep their slim playoff hopes alive Wednesday without the services of their leading scorer.

Point guard John Wall will miss the team's game against the Brooklyn Nets due to right knee soreness.

The Wizards have yet to be mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, but sit 3.5 games behind the Detroit Pistons for eighth in the Eastern Conference.

Wall was in the lineup for Washington's last game Sunday, scoring 15 points in 31:45 minutes.

Ramon Sessions makes first start of season in place of Wall.
