Surgery on Leonard's shoulder is scheduled for April 8. Given his timetable for a return, it is unclear if Leonard will be able to return for the beginning of next season. He opted to turn down a "considerable" contract extension earlier in the season from Portland, instead choosing to bet on himself in free agency. Leonard posted 8.4 points and 5.1 rebounds in 21.9 minutes per game this season.
