Cavaliers rest Irving vs. Knicks

David Richard / USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Cavaliers were without their starting point guard Saturday in the Big Apple.

Kyrie Irving rested against the New York Knicks on Saturday night.

The Duke product's game has taken a step back since his All-NBA campaign last season, but he is still averaging a respectable 19.4 points and 4.5 assists on 45.6 percent shooting in 2015-16.

Cleveland has fared well without Irving this season, going 18-8 in his absence.

Matthew Dellavedova made his 12th start of the year with Irving out.
