Wayne Ellington will move to a bench role in Thursday's game against the Cavaliers.

Ellington will move to a bench role in Thursday's game against the Cavaliers, Mike Mazzeo of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Ellington saw only 13 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Hornets, and could only see his court time plunge further while he transitions to the second unit. Coach Tony Brown suggested he wanted to give his younger guards more opportunities over the final couple weeks of the season, and Sergey Karasev will get the first turn in the starting five. Expect the likes of Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Sean Kilpatrick, and Markel Brown to also eat into Ellington's playing time down the stretch.
