Meyers Leonard: Out for three-game road trip

Leonard (shoulder) will be out for the entirety for the Blazers' three-game road trip that begins Thursday against the Spurs, Jason Quick of CSN Northwest reports.

Analysis:

A multi-game absence always seemed like a probable outcome for Leonard, who had previously missed seven games after suffering the same injury back in November. The current timeline puts him on track to return no earlier than March 23 against the Mavericks, but even that may be too ambitious for the three-point shooting big man. With Leonard out of the picture for at least the next few games, look for the remaining members of the frontcourt rotation -- Mason Plumlee, Noah Vonleh, Ed Davis, and Maurice Harkless -- to all see mild bumps in their minute counts.
