Marcin Gortat: Late Scratch Wednesday

Gortat is a late scratch for Wednesday's matchup with the Bulls due to a sore back, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

This news came out of nowhere, as Gortat wasn't on the injury report heading into the evening, and the Wizards had confirmed him as a starter prior to game time. However, shortly before tip off, he was replaced by Nene Hilario in the starting lineup, so apparently he aggravated his back in warmups. The Wizards play again Thursday against the 76ers, so expect an update on Gortat's status shortly before that contest begins.
