Beal reiterated that he's hopeful to play in Monday's game against the Pistons, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

After initially staying behind in Washington when the team departed for their now-completed three-game road trip last week, Beal eventually connected with the Wizards for the last two games of the trip, but didn't play in either contest. He didn't even participate in any basketball-related activities during his time on the road, so despite Beal's optimism, it seems more likely than not that he'll sit out again Monday. Garrett Temple will continue to serve as the Wizards' primary shooting guard while Beal is out.
