Raptors' Valanciunas sits against Bucks with hand injury

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

Jonas Valanciunas of the Toronto Raptors did not play Tuesday against the Milwaukee Bucks, the result of a left hand contusion suffered in Monday's loss to the Chicago Bulls.

Valanciunas left that contest in the second half after apparently getting his hand tangled up in a jersey. The team said afterward that he'd be "treated symptomatically," but would travel on Toronto's current two-game road trip to Milwaukee and Indiana.

The center missed 17 games earlier this season after breaking the same left hand in November. The 23-year-old Lithuanian is the team's leading rebounder and third on the squad in scoring.
