Johnson will sign a 10-day contract with the Pelicans, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

Johnson's last NBA action came in mid-February with the Suns, and it looks like the Pelicans will give him a chance to showcase himself over the final quarter of the season. With Eric Gordon (finger) and Tyreke Evans (knee) currently sidelined among several players on the roster, the Pelicans were granted a roster exemption, through which they'll be able to add Johnson to bring the roster to 16 men. Johnson will be active for Wednesday's game against the Hornets.
