76ers claim Sonny Weems off waivers

The Philadelphia 76ers announced Monday they have claimed Sonny Weems off waivers.
To clear up space on the roster for Weems, the 76ers have released big man Christian Wood, who was recently signed to a 10-day contract.
Weems, 29, suited up for 36 games this season with the Phoenix Suns prior to being waived March 5. He averaged just 2.5 points and 1.1 rebounds in 11.7 minutes off the bench during that span.
