Ginobili returns for Spurs while Duncan, Aldridge sit out

After missing a month in the wake of testicular surgery, Manu Ginobili is set to return to bolster a tattered San Antonio Spurs roster.

Ginobili will be active for Saturday's game against the Sacramento Kings, while Tim Duncan (rest), Danny Green (rest), and LaMarcus Aldridge (migraine) sit out, according to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio News-Express.

Now in his 14th season, the 38-year-old Argentine remains incredibly effective. He's down to just 19.7 minutes per game, but his per-36 averages of 18.3 points, six assists, 5.4 rebounds, and two steals per game are virtually identical with his career line.

Ginobili also holds the highest individual net rating for any non-Warriors player.

As for the rest of the Spurs, Gregg Popovich will have to lean heavily on his bench to make up for sitting three starters. Not having their starting frontcourt available for a tilt against DeMarcus Cousins will put a tremendous burden on the likes of Boris Diaw, David West, and Boban Marjanovic to hold down the fort.

The Spurs hold the second-best record in the league at 52-9.
