Thaddeus Young: Will sit out Saturday

Young not play Saturday against the Timberwolves, as the Nets have opted to give him an opportunity to rest, Jerry Zgoda of The Star Tribune reports.

Analysis:

The Nets announced they were resting Young and Brook Lopez about an hour and a half prior to tip-off on Saturday. The news is somewhat surprising as neither were on the injury report heading into the evening, but it fortunately does not sound like Young is suffering from any type injury. The Nets next play Tuesday against the Raptors, and Young will likely return to action for that one.
