Steve Novak: Will miss remainder of season with MCL sprain

Novak (knee) will miss the remainder of the season with a sprained left MCL, Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe reports.

Analysis:

Novak appeared in just three games with the Bucks before suffering the season-ending injury in Saturday's loss to the Pistons. Though he didn't assume a huge role in the Bucks' rotation during his brief time with the club, Novak's absence will deprive the team of a reliable three-point shooter off the bench. The 32-year-old will become a free agent this summer, and it's unclear if the Bucks will be interested in retaining him.
