Nelson (wrist) didn't play in Wednesday's 87-81 win over the Clippers.

Analysis:

Nelson has been active for both of the Nuggets' last two games, but coach Michael Malone hasn't chosen to call on the veteran off the bench. It's possible the Nuggets want to ease Nelson back into the mix after he last played Jan. 30 before the pain in his left wrist began to resurface, so perhaps he'll be available in Friday's game against the Mavericks if he's able to put in another practice Thursday. The Nuggets acquired D.J. Augustin from the Thunder prior to the deadline to provide the team with some added depth behind starting point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, so there's not much of a rush for Nelson to come back.
