Bosh (calf) is being advised by physicians to sit out the remainder of the season due to a potential blood clot issue, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

Bosh has been sidelined for the Heat's first three games of the second half, and continues to check in with several specialists for opinions on the nature of his blood clot. The 11-time All-Star missed the final 30 games of the 2014-15 season after a blood clot moved from his calf to his lungs, but he remains hopeful that he'll avoid a similar fate this time around by taking blood thinners. Bosh plans to meet with Heat officials in the next 24 hours to reach a determination on his status for the remainder of the season, and we could an official timetable outlined for the 31-year-old at some point Thursday. If the Heat opt to rule out Bosh for the rest of the season, he would be barred from taking part in basketball-related activities for three to six months.
