Larry Nance Jr. available vs. Grizzlies

Los Angeles Lakers power forward Larry Nance Jr. is available to play for Wednesday night's matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, according to Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News.

That's a surprising development considering Nance acknowledged Tuesday that the Lakers were discussing shutting down their rookie big man for the season.

"Nobody in this league feels 100 percent," Lakers head coach Byron Scott said. "Everybody has some bumps and bruises. He's no different, but with his age and the career we have ahead of him, we're going to be cautious."

Nance left Monday night's contest after re-injuring the knee that forced him to sit a number of games prior to the All-Star break. The 23-year-old is averaging 5.7 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 54.2 percent from the field in his first year in the league.
