Report: Hickson, Wizards in 'advanced discussions' on deal for remainder of season

Reuters

Recently waived big man J.J. Hickson may not be on the open market for much long as the eight-year vet is in "advanced discussions" with the Washington Wizards, according to The Vertical's Sham Charania.

If signed for the remainder of the season, Hickson would fill the void left by Kris Humphries and DeJuan Blair, adds NBA.com's David Aldridge. Both Humphries and Blair were sent to the Phoenix Suns in the Markieff Morris deal.

The 27-year-old N.C. State product has played for four teams since being drafted 19th overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2008.

He averaged 6.9 points, while shooting 50.5 percent from the field, and grabbed 4.4 rebounds in 20 games with the Denver Nuggets this season.
