Report: Bucks, Timberwolves engaged in talks for Rubio

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Milwaukee Bucks engaged in trade talks involving Ricky Rubio, but couldn't find "common ground" on a deal, ESPN sources told Marc Stein.

The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski reported earlier that Bucks head coach Jason Kidd has long been infatuated with the Timberwolves point guard.

Rubio is averaging 9.7 points and 8.6 assists this season, but is shooting just 36.1 percent from the floor and 29.2 percent from beyond the arc.

With the recent hot play of 20-year-old Zach LaVine - averaging 17.6 points over his last nine contests - the Timberwolves may be willing to trade Rubio, who is owed $55 million over the next four seasons.
