Jameer Nelson could require surgery on wrist, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.

Nelson could require surgery on his sprained left wrist, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports. "I [recently] saw my doctor in Philadelphia, which we all thought was best," Nelson said. "And I got another MRI and it showed some stuff."

Analysis:

Nelson declined to elaborate on the extent of the findings from the MRI, but with his wrist injury keeping him out of 12 of the Nuggets' last 14 contests and preventing him from practicing Wednesday, the possibility of a surgery is starting to become more realistic. The veteran point guard was able to work out on the side on his own at Wednesday's practice, but the Nuggets don't appear to have a clear idea when or if he'll be able to rejoin the rest of the team in the near future.
