Contenders with limited financial flexibility will have plenty of options to choose from after the trade deadline.

Minnesota Timberwolves sharpshooter Kevin Martin and Los Angeles Lakers center Roy Hibbert are candidates to be bought out if they aren't moved at the trade deadline, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.

Martin should interest teams as a potential scorer off the bench. He's not much of a defender, but Martin is a career 38.5 percent shooter from distance and can create his own offense, using his shifty shot fake to get to the free-throw line.

The tricky aspect with Martin is his 2016-17 player option for $7.4 million. He would have to give that up in order to be bought out.

Hibbert, meanwhile, was once one of the league's most effective rim protectors. This season, Hibbert has anchored the league's worst defense in Los Angeles, but a change of scenery to a more capable team might maximize his abilities as a stopper.

The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski named Boston's David Lee, Denver's JJ Hickson, and Brooklyn's Andrea Bargnani as other buyout candidates.
