Report: Bucks to stand pat with Greg Monroe

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The Milwaukee Bucks won't deal Greg Monroe at the trade deadline.

Previous reports suggested the Bucks were open to dealing the center, who the team signed to a three-year max contract last summer, but calls for Monroe's availability have gone nowhere, USA Today's Jeff Zillgitt reports.

One source emphatically told Zillgitt that there is no chance Monroe gets dealt.

A report from ESPN's Zach Lowe suggested the New Orleans Pelicans and the Bucks had gone back and forth on a potential deal involving Monroe.

The 25-year-old Monroe is averaging 16.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, while shooting 52.1 percent from the field. He ranks second in points and first in rebounds for the Bucks.
