LeBron on Love-Melo trade talk: 'It's false'

Count LeBron James among those who aren't buying into Friday's juicy trade rumor.

A report suggested James' Cavaliers had been in contact with the Celtics and Knicks about a potential deal that would send James' teammate Kevin Love to Boston, while bringing his good friend Carmelo Anthony to Cleveland.

James has insisted in the past that he has no say in the team's personnel decisions, but he seemed fairly confident in shooting down the suggested exchange.

"It's false," James told reporters during Saturday's All-Star practice, according to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com. "That's the only thing I can look at and see - it's false."

Vardon also reports that a "high-ranking Cavs official," speaking on the condition of anonymity, pegged the chances of such a deal happening at "zero percent."

"Total nonsense," the source told him. "Absolutely not discussed."

Also asked about the rumor on Saturday, Anthony was similarly nonplussed.

"There's always some trade s*** going," he said. "I'm not going anywhere."
