Gordon indicated Wednesday that he's progressing well from Jan. 20 surgery to repair a fractured right ring finger.

Analysis:

Gordon was initially given a four-to-six week recovery timetable after undergoing the procedure, so it appears as though he'll be back at some point in late February or early March. Once healthy, Gordon should have little trouble displacing Bryce Dejean-Jones as the starting shooting guard, and could be in line for a regular 30-plus minute role with Tyreke Evans (knee) apparently set to undergo season-ending surgery. Due to the prominent spot in the Pelicans' offense he'll probably maintain upon returning, Gordon could be worth stashing in leagues that have large benches or DL spots.
