Klay Thompson wins Three-Point Contest over Stephen Curry

Klay Thompson got his revenge.

After losing to Stephen Curry in last year's contest, Thompson scored 27 in the final round to win the Three-Point Contest on Saturday night, besting Curry's 23.

Thompson dominated the first round, posting the best score with 22 to narrowly edge Curry, who needed two buzzer-beaters on the money-ball rack to even make it to the championship round.

The Splash Brothers were joined by Phoenix Suns rookie Devin Booker in the finals after Booker won a shootout to break a three-way tie with James Harden and J.J. Redick. They all had 20 in the first round.

Booker was the first to shoot in the finals. The youngest player in the league, shooting in his third round of the night, showed signs of fatigue as he hit just 16.

Curry followed Booker with a thrilling 23-point performance. He connected on his first seven shots to start, but faded slightly down the stretch.

That set up Thompson, who was mostly steady throughout his second run. Thompson had his money-ball rack on the fifth spot, and had a score of 17 before getting there. He proceeded to hit his first three shots to reach 23 and nearly walked off after hitting his fourth to win. He quickly realized his error and got the fifth try to go, too. Thompson finished with 27 - the same total Curry put up last year.
