Austin Rivers: Out 4-to-6 weeks with broken hand

Rivers has been diagnosed with a broken left hand and will likely miss four-to-six weeks, ESPN.com's Brian Windhorst reports.

Analysis:

Rivers, who suffered the injury during Wednesday's loss to the Timberwolves, missed Friday night's game against Orlando due to what the team initially described as a painful bruise on his left hand, but further testing revealed that the reserve guard has a broken bone and will miss at least a month. Without Rivers, the Clippers will be hurting for point guard depth behind Chris Paul, as their other options at the position are Jamal Crawford, Pablo Prigioni. Lance Stephenson could also be asked to help cover for Rivers' absence.
