Bulls' Butler out vs. Timberwolves

The Chicago Bulls will be without their leading scorer for Saturday's tilt with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Shooting guard Jimmy Butler will sit out Saturday's game after leaving Friday's game with a left knee sprain, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Butler, who had tendinitis in that same knee coming into Friday's game, was forced to exit after landing awkwardly following a midair collision. He toughed it out to shoot free throws, but left the court shortly thereafter in a wheelchair.

He was spotted after the game leaving the arena in crutches.

Now playing in his fifth season, Butler has emerged as Chicago's most important player. Along with leading the team in scoring (22.4 PPG), he is once again leading the league in minutes per game, and was named to the All-Star team for the second straight season.

Bulls center Pau Gasol and swingman Mike Dunleavy are also listed as questionable against the Timberwolves.
