Kemba Walker (knee) is out for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers.

Walker (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers.

Analysis:

Walker has been assuming heavy minutes since January with Nicolas Batum (toe) flitting in and out of the lineup, but it looks like the added workload may have finally caught up to him. The sore left knee will result in Walker's first absence of the season, leaving a huge void in the Hornets backcourt. While Batum has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday and could be in line to assume some of the scoring responsibility if he plays, the primary ball-handling duties figure to go to Jeremy Lin, who should see at least 30 minutes of floor time and will make for an excellent DFS option. The Hornets are hopeful a one-game break is all Walker will need to be ready to go for Friday's tilt with Heat.
