Scott doesn't think Kobe would be a good coach, says he 'would kill somebody'

Byron Scott has been accused of being wrong about many things, but this one he may have hit out of the park. When asked if his retiring Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant would make a good NBA head coach, Scott was quick to offer a distinct possibility.

The idea of Kobe coaching is a natural question to ask. His notorious work ethic may be unmatched in basketball history, and he is not afraid to exercise his own form of discipline. However, there's a fine line between tough love and alienation, and if some players have an issue suiting up with Bryant, others would likely have one playing for him.

Kobe does have some outside-the-box team-building theories, but this could be part and parcel of what Scott was talking about:
