Dwight Howard currently leads the NBA in technical fouls with 12, including two in each of the Houston Rockets' last two games.

The Rockets have contacted the league in an attempt to get all four of Howard's technicals rescinded, according to ESPN's Calvin Watkins.

Saturday night against the Washington Wizards, Howard got T'd up midway through the first quarter after getting fouled by Jared Dudley, which was ruled to be a flagrant-1. He then proceeded to show the referees what Dudley did by putting his hands behind Dudley's neck, which resulted in a technical.

"I don't think he was trying to hurt me," Howard said. "If it were anybody else getting hit, grabbed around the shoulder, neck area, you know what they're going to call because it's in the rule book. For me getting a tech for it, explaining to the ref what happened, it wasn't like I was loud. I didn't go at him. I said, 'Hey, he grabbed me around my shoulders, can you look at it?' I got a technical foul for it."

The second came with 8:08 remaining in the fourth quarter after Howard shoved Nene. As officials came to separate the two giants, Howard slapped away one of their hands, which was enough to warrant a second technical and immediate ejection.

The eight-time All-Star received six technicals all of last season. With 12 through 40 games, all Howard needs is four more to garner a one-game suspension from the league.
