Mavericks to rest Dirk, Pachulia vs. Warriors

Kevin Jairaj / USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Mavericks will bring a thin frontcourt into the Oracle Arena ahead of Wednesday night's matchup against the Golden State Warriors.

Dirk Nowitzki (rest) and Zaza Pachulia (leg) will miss the game, according to Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com.

Nowitzki, 37, has occasionally rested during back-to-backs this season, as the Mavericks hope to keep him healthy for the postseason.

The Mavericks power forward is putting together another terrific campaign in 2015-16, averaging 20.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and shooting 39.8 percent from deep.

Pachulia has already missed the last two games for Dallas with a sore right leg. The 6-foot-11 center is averaging 10.4 points, seven rebounds, and one steal this season.

The Warriors (41-4) will look to stretch their home winning streak to 40 games against a depleted Mavericks roster.
