An MRI on Evans' right knee came back clean Wednesday, but coach Alvin Gentry said Evans continues to deal with tendinitis, Pelicans radio voice Sean Kelley reports.

An MRI on Evans' right knee came back clean Wednesday, but coach Alvin Gentry said Evans continues to deal with tendinitis, Pelicans radio play-by-play announcer Sean Kelley reports.

Analysis:

Evans was limited to only 16 minutes in Monday's matchup with the Magic due to soreness in his right knee, but it looks like he's avoided any structural damage. Evans does have a lengthy history of problems with the knee, however, so the Pelicans may opt to exercise caution with his usage. Kelley's report intimates that the Pelicans will handle Evans on a day-to-day basis, meaning he should be considered questionable for Thursday's matchup with Sacramento. Per John Reid of the Times-Picayune, Evans is considered more likely than not to play Thursday.
