The Toronto Raptors tied a franchise record with their ninth straight victory following a win over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday. However, all anyone at the Air Canada Centre could think about afterward was the health of Eastern Conference All-Star starter Kyle Lowry.

Leading by 17 with 3:42 remaining in the fourth quarter, Lowry got tangled up with Marcin Gortat and Gary Neal defending the pick-and-roll, running straight to the locker room holding his left wrist.

He returned to the bench very briefly before being shut down for good.

X-rays on his wrist ultimately came back negative, the team announced.

Lowry finished the night with a game-high 29 points on 8-of-14 shooting and 5-of-9 from deep, along with four rebounds and four assists in 36 minutes of action. Toronto cruised to a 106-89 win, improving to 29-15 on the season.
